    Join us as we participate in the First Saturday Devotion with Archbishop Sample and parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Portland.  This devotion originated from the Church-approved Marian apparitions at Fatima.  On the first Saturday of each month, the faithful are asked to:

    • Go to Confession
    • Receive Holy Communion
    • Pray the Rosary
    • Meditate for 15 minutes on a mystery of the Rosary

    All of these actions should be offered for the intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  
    It can be started in any month and continue for five consecutive months.

    All are welcome to a Holy Hour to pray for the repose of the souls of those buried at our local Catholic cemeteries. This one-hour service includes Exposition and Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament, as well as the Holy Rosary, Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and other prayers for the dead. Taking place in the Gethsemani chapel (from the front gate, on the right) at 11:00 am on the 3rd Tuesday of every month through December 16.

    Columbia River Serra is hosting the 5th annual Vocations Benefit Dinner on Saturday, January 31 at St. Joseph Parish in Vancouver. Archbishop J. Peter Sartain, Archdiocese of Seattle, will be the keynote speaker, accompanied by Sr. Bernadette Wilson, Society of Mary, and Br. Matthias Lambrecht, OCD, as well as other women and men religious, seminarians and priests, to foster vocations to the priesthood and consecrated religious life. Proceeds from this event go to support Quo Vadis, a three-day camp for young men to learn about the priesthood.
